Dear Friends,

Please, Anybody tell me in depth about the following Ball-screw related terms......

1.Float    2. Backlash    3.  Pitch error of Ball-screw.

1. Float: The slack in the ball screw bearing carrier at the secured end.

2. Backlash: The degrees of rotation it takes to cause the nut to move the load one way and then when reversed to move the load other end. (slack in the nut to screw) (usually is correctable with a split nut adjustment of some kind)

3. Pitch Error of Screw: this is the pitch accuracy of the manufacture of the ball screw. The more accurate the high the price.


The worst suggestion of you lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them.
