| GD&T or DIN spec. which comes first? | |||

We have a drawing of a flanged nut which has a DIN spec in the title block. The spec says the flange surface cannot be convex. On the drawing there is a flatness callout for this surface with no comment about convexity or concavity. How should we interpret this? |

The specification means exactly what it says... The surface must be flat to within the flatness tolerance specified while not being convex. |
