what is the most important thing when doing product redesign? Also , is there any suggestions for the product ?

It depends on the reason for the redesign.....
..sorry but it does...

Things to take into account: (in no order)
easier to manufacture
easier to get materials
less expensive materials
less part count
safer
more user friendly
more or less shelf or use life
weight
strength
durability
style and market-ability
packaging
stacking
green earth factor
will it recycle
is it recycled
the list is goes on for ever




The worst suggestion of you lifetime may be the catalyst to the grandest idea of the century, never let suggestions go unsaid nor fail to listen to them.
