Dear all,

I wrote a small program that helps compute the performance curves of a centrifugal fan (double inlet, forward curved blades). I am now looking for real data to test (validify) my program. Please help me on where to get such sample centrifugal fan and its characterstics curves. Any example in a book that specifies blade angles, diameters, number of blades and width together with its characterstics curves would be good enough.

Thankyou very mach in advance.

Mokee

I used to be in sales for a HVAC company, if you can give me the specs on the fan, Size, RPM, HP, SP, I could check my catalog when I get home, and give you a range of performance numbers.

Dear John,

Thank you for your prompt reply and help. What I am looking for is a centrifugal fan of any size that specifies blade angles (inlet and outlet), diameters (for tips the fan blades), number of blades and width together with its characterstics curves at any RPM. I just want to check if my program is correct for an already known fan with performance curves.

I believe you can help me.

Thank you again
Mokee

Mokee,

This is what I have,
Single inlet
15" dia fan wheel
tip speed = 3.93 x rpm
outlet area 1.29 sf

@1" SP
752rpm = 2580cfm
899rpm = 3870cfm

@2" SP
986rpm = 2580cfm
1085rpm = 3870cfm

I don't have listings for double inlet fans, I am not sure what inlet and outlet blades you are talkin about. And I am sorry I don't have more dimensions for the fan wheel. All I have left is the catalog, and don't have access to engineering specs. I do have more sizes and have backward curved blades, as well as other types of centrifical fans.

John
