trapped rubber analysis

I need get some information on analyzing a "trapped" material. Mainly I need to equate or quantify how the expansion of a material in a closed cavity mold relates to load or pressure.

For example: a ball of rubber in a closed cavity tool bears no load at ambient temperature, but as temperature increases, the rubber expands and puts some force back into the tool. Assuming the tool is rigid, how much pressure is being caused from that expansion?

Question:

Do you want a pressure reading while the rubber is curing, or just a thermal expansion of cured rubber?

I would like to equate the thermal expansion of the rubber with the pressure that it will induce into my tool. Assume the rubber is trapped, and as temperature rises the expansion will ultimately lead to force. I need to know how to calculate that force without an FEA model.

I am also searching for this same answer, also without using FEA.

We are using a cured silicone rubber product and hoping to expand it in a steel closed cavity.
