Are you plaaning to take courses or learn on your own? College book stores are a very good source for literature. There are many books availble to introduce you to mechanical design. Is there an area you are intertested in (ie;tooling, machinery)?

Hey there, Maybe you should start out by picking up a book. start off with mechanics from a college physics book. then try Strength of Materials by Pytel or some other authors. From there you can proceed to MEchanical design books. Im sure the other people in the forum can help you better if you have a specific design problem that you post.

rather..i should have said statics. https://www.ent.ohiou.edu/~statics/ try that. I just got this off google "statics" you can try and find your own materials.

Arcand, I think you need to be a little more focused. What do you want to design ? A space shuttle....or the latest foot wear ? I would start there. Mylo
