I'm designing a nitinol sleeve that will be used as a compliant spacer/spring to support a compressive load between 2 flat plates. Can anybody point me to equations for calculating stress and strain for a static compression load (lateral crushing) on a thin-walled tubular section?

Thanks.

Check-out text "Formulas for Stress and Strain" by Roark. See formulas for circular rings and arches.
