We use Heavy fuel HFO for our Wartsila 18 SW 38 series engine for power generation we have AlfaLaval Purifiers that clean the fuel of sludge and water and also has a washing unit to remove the sodium from fuel to keep the critical balance between sodium to vanadium to 1:5

I need to further clean the fuel quality by removing excess water from presently after purifiers water contents are around 2% need to drop it below 1.5% without disturbing the sodium vanadium ratio.

Also the sludge produced how re-process to something of value
