Hi freinds. I have modeled a rotary disk with uniform thickness in ANSYS by axisymmetric element PLANE25. When i get the stresses at x(radial) and z (tangential) directions, i see that both of them are maximum at R=internal diameter and are minimum at R=external diameter.
The disk is connected to a shaft. This is true for tangential stresses (i think) but is it true for radial (x direction) stresses? Please help me and send a reffrence that show counter plot of stresses at a disk that modeled in ANSYS or other finite difference software.
