I'm new on here and could really do with some help.

I need to design a steel clamp to fit on a 425mm diameter pipe. I need to determine the clamping pressure and the bolt load required. The clamp needs to support a load of 5.5 Tonne.

I envisage a 2 or 3 part fabricated clamp with bolted connections.

Any help would be very much appreciated.
