Hi all,

As a part of my value-engineering project I am reducing the cost of the products by the changing the materials and processes. Now the trouble is, I am changing a material of a component from C15 to Nylon 10 Glass Filled, I have done all the analysis the result is positive. But in that component I need to assemble a sub-assembly by press-fit and the pulling force of the sub-assembly not less than 1 ton (Insert molding is not possible).
So please let me know whether it is possible to achieve the above mentioned assembly force by pressing it in Nylon.
If yes shall I use the preferred fit tolerances, which is given in machinery handbooks????
Else, shall I In-mold a metallic sleeve in the press-fit area to get the above-mentioned force.

Thanks in advance,
