The "Two Hooks" mark is the customer's company logo to be stamped on the nut.

Hi Randy and Kelly, thanks a lot for your professional answers. I will ask the HOOKS from customer and if they give me an explain, I'll post it on here for reference.

1. I DON'T KNOW about hooks..

...................
OK Gals and guys, let's hear a qualified answer about the "hooks".
...................

2. yes countersink at 90°
3. PD = pitch diameter, MD = minor diameter
4. 100 RMS is the surface roughness, about half between 125 and 63 standards in root-mean-square.
5. edge must be sharp, not de-burred. Usually is a cutting edge.
6. FIM = full indicator movement, similar to TIR or total indicator reading, relates to a full rotation of the part against an indicator

A description on the complete drawing is:

CONCENTRICTY: .010" F.I.M.

What does F.I.M. mean?

Thanks a lot!

This drawing is a classic "Drawn to Personnal Drafting Standards" drawing, instead of industry standards.

FIM = Full Indicator Movement. The Concentricity can mean any number of things, however I suspect they realy mean Total Runnout. Total Runnout is when you locate a reference cylindrical feature in a device allowing rotation and place a dial indicator on another coaxial cylindrical surface and rotate. The FIM is the maximimum displacment reading obtained from the dial indicator.

The hooks look like a CAD printing problenm or translation.

I would call and ask for the responsible engineer or designer and ask very politely what every thing means. Just tell them that you realy want to do a good job and are double checking with them to be sure you understand.
