Dear Friends,

I do apologize for writng such a length message but this was the best wasy I could describe on housings.

I am trying to understand on desing and manufacture of "housings".

Key area I am looking for is the design for
1) Filter housings
2) Single/ multiple round housings
3) Trace heated housings.

I wanted to know if you can give me advice on :-

- What ASME code do I need to follow to design 'Housings- 1,2
&3'
- Is there any 'good design handbook on housing' which can
talk me through the whole process of designing.

I am trying to follow
Pressure Vessel Design Handbook by Henry.H.Bednar
Pressure Vessel Design Handbook by Megyesy E. F

if this was also the book you were gonna suggest than can you refer which chapters should I browse through.

Thanks and Regards
materialboy

If you already have the books, what's wrong with just reading them?

With Bednar or Megyesy - they do discuss a bit on small cylinders but than it is more focused on tall towers and not small cylinders.

I am into the books that talks in detail only through housing and the problem that may arose with housing and not in Pressure Vessel.

Any ideas on name of books - except good luck mate.
