help.....i am a first year undergraduate student.
how do i can design a delay switch mechanism using a dashpot.with the condition below:
a)time delay required 3seconds.Diameter at mechanism 74cm use suitable viscocity.
b)propose a refinement so that switch rate progresively slower.

so,where can i get this type of the information,how can start to do it?

the prof of this subject not really knw how to deliver his knowledge to us.futhermore i am taking enviromental engineering,never have this fundamental at all.
