Honestly, your inquiry is very hard to believe. How does a company establish itself in the business of making carbon fiber tapered towers and NOT know how to predict deflection?
My company manufactures carbon fiber tapered towers. I have been asked to figure out how to predict deflection and I am completely stumped. Any ideas?

For tapered beams it is D2(E*I*D2y) = w(x).
or
Deflection y = (1/E)*integral[integral{[M(x)/I(x)]*dx}*dx], integrated from x = 0 to 0.5*L.
