Steel Spec ST460TS Question

Has anyone seen or heard of the steel specification ST460TS?

I have a steel coupling that has "ST460TS" stamped on it.

I beleive that it is a tool steel and my preliminary research has found some listings for it on Japanese steel supply websites.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hiya,

ST460TS is NOT a tool steel, it is a Chrome Moly steel, dsigned for bolting applications. The nomenclature you see is in house ABB Alstom terminology.

The international designation for the steel is 21CrMoV 5.7 (see DIN17240)

ST460TS = 21CrMoV511 = ideal steel for screwes in medium_hight temperature 200_400 C
