i have a platform that needs to be raised, 20 degrees from zero in the positive and negative direction, from a pivot point located on an edge of the platform. the load will be approx. 250 lbs. the speed should be slow, and accuracy should be exact.

electical or manual will work.
Thanks in advance.

best regards,

Ray

Ray,
I'm not sure we understand what your question is. Are you looking for a formula for lifting 250 lbs, if so we need to know the size and weight of the platform and the distance the load will be from the pivot. If you are asking for design help, please ask for an engineer to contact you of which is skilled in that area. Perhaps there is another question you need answered that would get you started.
Thank you,

Randy.

Thanks for the advice. Now I am not sure what we are doing. Things are up in the air right now. Once we get settled, I will repost with more detail. Thanks

Ray

what you are basically looking for is a dock leveller design. The easiest way is hydraulically using one hydraulic cylinder to lift and hold the load
