Help on desiging an electric screw jack

Hello everyone,

I am an Industrial Design Engineering student at the Technical University Delft, currently working on a car-jack development project.

I'm looking for a system that can raise 1000 kg for about 30 cm. Important is that the collapsed state should be about 15 cm.

I've found one product which equals my specifications, and I would like to know how it works. I can't find any documentation on it so I decided to post a message here. Can anyone explain the working principle of the following product: {Snip - no links to commercial products}

It's a motorised car jack, the website of the manufactorer doesn't say it's hydraulic. I guess it's a screwjack based system with multiple stages.

The manufacturer is the most qualified to answer your questions.
