White Papers, Engineering Documents and Specifications

This resource requires a Premium Membership

The purpose of this document is to describe the general corrosion protection requirements applicable to the surface treatment and finishing of space flight hardware. This documnet contains the minimum requirements necessary to qualify materials and processes for corrosion control of space flight hardware. Additional testing may be required to meet the requirements for materials
and processes used in space flight hardware systems.

Materials and processes used in interfacing ground support equipment, test equipment, hardware processing equipment, hardware packaging, and hardware shipment are to be controlled to prevent damage to or contamination of flight hardware.
