Y14.6 - Screw Thread Representation

This Standard establishes requirements for pictorial representation, specification, and dimensioning of screw threads on drawings; it is not concerned with standards for dimensional control of screw threads. Information helpful in the design and selection of screw threads to meet specific requirements is included in the B1 series of the ASME Standards for Screw Threads (see para. 1.3).

Y14.4M - Pictorial Drawing

This Standard establishes definitions for and illustrates the uses of various kinds of three dimensional view pictorial mechanical drawings. It also addresses the kinds of pictorial views commonly used on engineering drawings. Methods of constructing the different kinds of pictorial drawings are beyond the scope of this Standard. Methods are described in detail in engineering drawing textbooks.

Y14.3 - Multiview and Sectional View

This standard establishes the requirements for creating orthographic views for item description. The topics covered include the multiview system of drawing, selection, and arrangement of orthographic views, auxiliary views, sectional views, details, and conventional drawing practices. Space geometry and space analysis and applications are included in the appendices for informational purposes.

Y14.1 - Decimal Inch Drawing Sheet Size and Format

This Standard defines decimal inch sheet sizes and formats for engineering drawings.

Y14.2M - Line Conventions and Lettering

This standard establishes the line and lettering practices for use in the preparation of engineering drawings. It includes the recognition of the requirements for photographic reduction and reproduction, including microfilm, as well as the conventional methods of reproduction.

B18.7.1M - Metric General Purpose Semi-Tubular Rivets

This Standard covers the general and dimensional data for oval head semi-tubular rivets for use in general purpose applications. The products described are suitable for joining metallic and nonmetallic materials or combinations thereof. Although these products are suitable for general purposes types are available to satisfy particular requirements, and manufacturers should be consulted for special requirements. The inclusion of dimensional data in this Standard is not intended to imply that all of the products described are stock production sizes. Consumers are requested to consult with manufacturers concerning availability of products. Metric general purpose semi-tubular rivets purchased for government use shall conform to this Standard and, additionally, to the requirements of Appendix I.

B1.20.1 - Pipe Threads, General Purpose, Inch

This American National Standard covers dimensions and gaging of pipe threads for general purpose applications. _ The B1.20.1 is a revision and redesignation of ANSI B2.1-1968 purposes types are available to satisfy particular requirements, and manufacturers should be consulted for special requirements.

Y14.13M - Mechanical Spring Representation

This Standard establishes uniform methods for specifying end product data on drawings for mechanical springs. A mechanical spring is defined as an elastic body whose mechanical function is to store energy when deflected by a force and to return the equivalent amount of energy upon being release. or portions thereof, see ANSI Y14.6-1978.

B1.22M - Gages and Gaging for MJ" Series Metric Screw Threads

This Standard provides essential specifications and dimensions for the gages used on MJ series metric screw threads, and covers the specifications and dimensions for the thread gages and measuring equipment listed in Tables 1 and 2. The basic purpose and use of each gage are also described.

Y14.7.2 - Gear and Spline Drawing Standards-Part 2: Bevel and Hypoid Gears

This standard establishes methods to be followed in specifying data for gears with intersecting axes (bevel gears), and non-parallel, non-trisecting axes (hypoid gears). It also discusses the method of specifying matched sets on a gear drawing. The purpose of this standard is to establish engineering drawing standards which define the finished product for the following types of gears: straight bevel, spiral bevel, and hypoid.
