B1.16M - Gages and Gaging for Metric M Screw Threads

This Standard provides essential specifications and dimensions for the gages used on M series metric screw threads, and covers the specifications and dimensions for the thread gages and measuring equipment listed in Tables 1 and 2. The basic purpose and use of each gage are also described.

B18.16M - Dimensional Requirements for Prevailing-Torque-Type Steel Metric Hex Nuts and Hex Flange Nuts

This Standard covers the complete general, dimensional, mechanical, and performance data for metric prevailing-torque hex nuts and hex flange nuts of property classes 5, 9, and 10 as defined in ASTM A563M. The inclusion of dimensional data in this Standard is not intended to imply that all of the nut sizes in conjunction with the various options described herein are stock items. Consumers should consult with suppliers concerning lists of stock production prevailing-torque hex and hex flange nuts.

B18.2.7.1M - Metric 12-Spline Flange Screws

This Standard covers the complete general and dimensional data for metric 12-spline flange screws recognized as American National Standard. The inclusion of dimensional data in this Standard is not intended to imply that all of the sizes in conjunction with the various options described herein are stock items. Consumers should consult with suppliers concerning lists of stock production 12-spline flange screws. The wrenching configuration is defined in SAE AS1325.

B18.8.200M - Cotter Pins, Headless Clevis Pins, and Headed Clevis Pins (Metric Series)

This Standard covers the complete dimensional and general data for cotter (split) pins recognized as an American National Standard. The inclusion of dimensional data in this Standard is not intended to imply that all products described are stock production items. Consumers should consult with suppliers concerning the availability of products. This Standard covers the complete dimensional and general data for two types, A and B, of metric series headless clevis pins intended for general applications and recognized as an American National Standard. Type A-headless clevis pins are without holes. Type B-headless clevis pins specified herein are with two holes intended for use with cotter pins; however, a means is provided to specify other hole sizes when required for use with other types of pins.

B18.8.100M - Spring Pins: Coiled Type, Spring Pins: Slotted, Machine Dowel Pins: Hardened Ground, and Groved Pins (Metric)

This Standard covers the dimensional and general data for coiled spring pins recognized as American National Standard, which are widely used in general industrial applications. The inclusion of dimensional data in this Standard is not intended to imply that all of the products described are stock production sizes. Consumers should consult with suppliers concerning the availability of the product.

B18.25.3M -

Square and Rectangular Keys and Keyways: Width Tolerances and Deviations Greater Than Basic Size

B18.27 - Tapered and Reduced Cross Section Retaining Rings (Inch Series)

This Standard covers complete general and dimensional data for three series of general purpose tapered and reduced cross section retaining rings, which may be used with the nominal size shafts and housings listed and in grooves of the recommended dimensions listed. Also included are formulas and tolerances on which dimensional data are based. Three appendices include guidance for assembly and recommended standard drawing formats.

B5.57 - Methods for Performance Evaluation of Computer Numerically Controlled Lathes and Turning Centers

This Standard establishes requirements and methods for specifying and testing the performance of CNC lathes and turning centers. in general industrial applications. These grooved pins have three grooves, equally spaced about their circumference, impressed longitudinally into their exterior surface, with nominal diameters D1, ranging from 1.5 mm to 12 mm, inclusive.

B18.18.5M - Inspection and Quality Assurance Plan Requiring In-Process Inspection and Control

This Standard outlines a Quality Assurance Plan for internally and externally threaded fasteners and accessories or associated parts. Provisions are included for sampling plans, inspection frequencies, control procedures, and record keeping. The basic structure of this plan outlines the quality assurance provisions for fasteners manufactured and processed using in-process controls. Included are fasteners produced by one manufacturing practice requiring records of in-process inspection and tests which are maintained by the producers. This Standard will be used in conjunction with other accepted standards for product, testing, gaging, and material, and, therefore, those provisions as well as packaging are not included herein.

B18.2.6 - Fasteners for use in Structural Applications

This Standard covers the complete and dimensional data for four products in the inch series recognized as American National Standard. Heavy hex nut thickness formulas and those for width across flats and width across corners are found in the Appendix of ASME B18.2.2.
