Gas Flow Under Laminar Viscous Conditions Equations and Calculator

Laminar flow is characterized by smooth or regular paths of particles of the fluid. The laminar flow is also referred to as streamline or viscous flow. This type of flow occurs typically at lower speeds, and the fluid tends to flow without lateral mixing.

CA = Shape Factor (dimensionless)
rw = Pipe Radius (ft)
S = Skin (dimensionless)
Qg = Gas Flow Rate (MSCF/d)

mD = Millidarcy
MSCF/d = Thousand standard cubic feet per day
Standard conditions are normally set at 60 degF and 14.7
